Teleconference Overview
The Tunes Radio Network is comprised of a volunteer staff and internet radio broadcasters whose goal is to have fun, gain experience in the radio, promotions, networking and to meet other radio enthusiasts.
Over a year ago, our focus was quite different than what is now. We were once an internet radio station that hosted broadcasters on a dedicated server. We operated on Shoutcast; a technology that allowed us to be listed and exposed on the Shoutcast directory, powered by AOL.
Today, we are a smaller network of broadcasters that continue to grow and utilize new methods to bring broadcaster and radio enthusiasts together. We promote ourselves, utilizing many networking methods, including but not limited to Shoutcast, Craigslist, many social networking outlets and radio forums, etc.
In the future, our goal is to redefine a whole new concept of social and business networking on a level that gives individuals options, other than "text" to communicate and network. We will take the concept of networking "outside the box" and bring new life and fresh excitement to computer communications and create networking portals to channel specific interests. We will be the pioneers in the next generation of social and business networking.
Over the past year, there has been some confusion over what the Tunes Radio Network will "allow". Unlike the days where were regulated by the RIAA as a dedicated server and host provider, we are not boundless. Our members have the freedom to broadcast anywhere other than Shoutcast and have the ability to choose their format and material without Tunes Radio limitations, as we once experienced. Members have complete control over their programming content at their own discretion.
The Tunes Radio Network exists to promote and network their members.
Year in Review:
January
The introduction of URL redirect for all members. This service was provided to all members of the Tunes Radio Network. A short URL was provided and members could login to configure where the short URL would point, so no matter what server or host the broadcaster would utilize, they could always be found, without the Tunes Radio Network having to update their location on the website constantly. The URL stays with the member for life.
New paid positions for telephone technical support team members to host this service are available. Inquire within!
February
The Teens are Talking project lifted off. The buzz grew in mid-west schools. We're now at a point where Teens are Talking has faded off. We have brought Anna on board in December as the new Director of Marketing for the Teens are Talking project. Anna will bring a fresh design and approach to Teens are Talking and guide us with inspiration to lift Teens are Talking off the ground again with immediate focus on the East Coast to start.
March
The Tunes Radio Network invades AOL and creates a presence. With Anna's experience with AOL, she will be taking over this account in December and will allow it to flourish again.
The Tunes Radio Network attained a dedicated 24 hour streaming server for Shoutcast from H, to host its promotional feed. Bands supplied their music and provided permission for airplay. Scott provided us with commercials and promotional sweeps.
April
The Tunes Radio Network worked with broadcasters to resource shared licenses to broadcast legally to avoid fines from RIAA.
Aggressive promotions to expand the network were put into motion. More promotion staff was added and a cross-chat platform for our IRC partners was initiated.
A new forum was put into place to reduce spam exposure.
