They have a fun and exciting competition going on! Its called We Are Music, this competition is all about their members talents. They have voiceover artists, singers and people who just love music. So they have combined this into a fun (and hopefully funny) competition for all to enjoy! Even the Broadcastingworld staff will be participating!
What you have to do.. 1. Find a song you really know well and like. 2. Listen to it closely and listen to the beat and rythem. 3. Find a 30 second sample of the song you like, it can be any part of the song. 4. Get a microphone ready and your voice clear! 5. Re-Record that 30 second sample ONLY USING YOUR VOICE* 6. Post your 30 second sample and re-recording in this thread

Competition Rules - You can only submit ONE request (make sure its good) - You may overlap. Which means to record one layer over another as heard in the example above. - It may only be your voice - Have a go! Don't stress if its not to your standard because it could be more than our standard and you may even be the winner!
Following the RIAA's recent announcement that it's going to stop suing individuals for pirating music and will instead ask ISPs to crack down on file sharers, Jerry Scroggin, who runs the small ISP Bayou Internet and Communications, says he expects the RIAA to pay for that kind of support.
"Scroggin's case underscores a potential obstacle for the RIAA's plan to enlist the help of ISPs," writes CNET's Greg Sandoval. "Small companies like his are innocent bystanders in the music industry's war on copyright infringement. Nonetheless, they are asked to help enforce copyright law free of charge. Many of them can't afford it."
"It costs both time and money to do things like pay technicians to sift through traffic logs, especially when users can spoof IPs and otherwise obfuscate their activity," writes Ars Technica's David Chartier. "Complicating matters further, Scroggin says that P2P use doesn't carry the same sense of urgency that, say, child porn traffickers or gun-happy teens do. Spending long hours to stop what may not even be a crime, only to pick up the tab in full, is simply not within a small ISP's budget."
LOS ANGELES - The group representing the U.S. recording industry said Friday it has abandoned its policy of suing people for sharing songs protected by copyright and will work with Internet service providers to cut abusers' access if they ignore repeated warnings.
The move ends a controversial program that saw the Recording Industry Association of America sue about 35,000 people since 2003 for swapping songs online. Because of high legal costs for defenders, virtually all of those hit with lawsuits settled, on average for around $3,500. The association's legal costs, in the meantime, exceeded the settlement money it brought in.

Teleconference Overview
The Tunes Radio Network is comprised of a volunteer staff and internet radio broadcasters whose goal is to have fun, gain experience in the radio, promotions, networking and to meet other radio enthusiasts.
Over a year ago, our focus was quite different than what is now.We were once an internet radio station that hosted broadcasters on a dedicated server. We operated on Shoutcast; a technology that allowed us to be listed and exposed on the Shoutcast directory, powered by AOL.
Today, we are a smaller network of broadcasters that continue to grow and utilize new methods to bring broadcaster and radio enthusiasts together. We promote ourselves, utilizing many networking methods, including but not limited to Shoutcast, Craigslist, many social networking outlets and radio forums, etc.
In the future, our goal is to redefine a whole new concept of social and business networking on a level that gives individuals options, other than "text" to communicate and network. We will take the concept of networking "outside the box" and bring new life and fresh excitement to computer communications and create networking portals to channel specific interests. We will be the pioneers in the next generation of social and business networking.
Over the past year, there has been some confusion over what the Tunes Radio Network will "allow".Unlike the days where were regulated by the RIAA as a dedicated server and host provider, we are not boundless. Our members have the freedom to broadcast anywhere other than Shoutcast and have the ability to choose their format and material without Tunes Radio limitations, as we once experienced.Members have complete control over their programming content at their own discretion.
The Tunes Radio Network exists to promote and network their members.

Winter of 2007, WhatNET IRC Network partnered with the Tunes Radio Network to become the official home radio network for WhatNET. http://www.whatnet.org/
Fall of 2007, Tunes Radio outgrew it's dedicated feel altogether and underwent a metamorphosis. The Tunes Radio Network was born. Broadcasters would now no longer be required to use a remote server to broadcast. Extra effort to walk broadcasters through the Shoutcast setup became the trend. Other broadcasters wanted "in" on the network and the exposure rates climbed!
The start of a promotional feed began that featured unsigned artists and samplers of professional sounding radio bumpers.
Late-Summer of 2007, the Teens are Talking project was born. With their motto, "It's their turn to be heard." Teens from all over the world eagerly put on their microphones and began to talk about their school day, what they were learning, the global news that affected them and general teen concerns.
Summer of 2007, Tunes Radio began to outgrow its dedicated feed and the requirement for more bandwidth and web space became inevitable.
Spring of 2007, Tunes Radio received sponsorship of a dedicated feed with more bandwidth and gained more broadcasters. The staff began to grow and the popularity of the project became the talk on many IRC networks.
Tunes Radio was formed in February 2007 by Quantum Inspirations. It consisted of a single feed that featured ambient music and talk radio.
